The Health, Safety and Welfare of employees and others who may be affected are of prime importance to the company and are essential to the efficient operation of its undertaking. All employees shall be briefed on the content of this Policy upon commencement with the Company. Any amendments will be brought to the attention of all employees via their immediate manager, where it is considered necessary.
The responsibility of Safety at work rests all employees. The company will ensure that this policy is pursued throughout the organisation. The company will take all reasonably practicable precautions to ensure the Health, Safety and Welfare at work of its employees by providing:- a) A safe working environment by the design, construction, operation and maintenance of all plant, equipment and facilities provided. b) Safe systems of work. c) Adequate Information, Instruction, Training and Supervision. d) Control of situations likely to cause damage to property and/or equipment. e) Effective facilities for the treatment of injuries, which occur at work. f) Effective fire prevention and fire control procedures. g) Adequate facilities for consultation between management and employee representatives. h) The making of such tests, examinations, samples and records as are necessary to monitor the working environment.
All employees of the company agree, as a term of their contract of employment, to comply with their individual duties under The Health and Safety at Work etc. Act 1974, all subordinate legislation, and generally co-operate with their employer to enable them to carry out their Health and Safety duties towards them. The overall responsibility for Health, Safety and Welfare of the company and its personnel is vested in the Company H&S Director. |
